Guys, SMILE is officially in stores today!!! I've had rove reporters all over the US and Canada telling me they've seen it in book stores, and it will be in comic shops tomorrow. I've been anticipating this day for almost a year, and of course the only thing I have planned is to work a bunch, and then watch LOST tonight. ;)

Anyway, excitement! The best thing you guys can do, other than purchasing a copy for a young person in your life, is to leave some feedback on the Amazon or B&N pages, or on Goodreads. Everything and anything is appreciated!

Also, I participated in this year's Hourly Comic Day! That's where you draw a short comic for every hour you're awake. It was fun, but I was tired of drawing myself sitting on the couch writing or typing on my laptop, by the end of it. Anyway, here's my comic, under a cut...

I LOVE THE RAW EGG IN THE BIBIM BAP. IT IS MY FAVORITE PART.

And my hourlies are more crappy than yours!

I'm actually REEEEALLY sensitive to eggs--egg yolks being the worst culprit. So, I skip 'em. :)

Your drawings are so cute!

I think I mentioned this on Facebook, but I'm in art ed, and I'm creating a unit plan on comics, and one of the projects is to do hourlies. Is it okay if I use yours as an example? It's hard not finding one with swearing...

I saw SMILE in the wild on Sunday, so presumably it was in the store since at least Friday. I can't afford to buy it for another few weeks, though.

I'm so excited for the book! I can't wait to pick it up at the comic store tomorrow!

Looking at these, I feel like your style's been evolving since I last saw "new" comics from you. More detail, maybe? I'm not sure what it is. The faces are getting even more expressive, too, and that was already one of my favorite parts of your art. :)

Hey, I've been to St. Mark's Comics! Big deal, I know, but I'm from Kentucky...

I requested a review copy of Smile from Scholastic today...hopefully they can hook me up so I can read and review it for Popdose.

Congrats on getting this out there...I thought it was great years ago when you'd post excerpts here on your LJ. You've come a long way, young lady! (and I can say that because I'm old)

I went to look if the book had come out today, because a friend of mines daughter is getting braces, and saw it came out just a couple of days ago. That's great!

But, the last post in the SMILE RSS feed is from October or something. You need to ping people in that RSS to say that the book is available now. We've been waiting for *ages*. :)
