Alas, I live too far away.

Have you thought about making it a genuine internship that a student could get units for? I have no idea how that works, but it seems like you might be able to work something out with an appropriate school (Kubert? SVA?) so the assistant would have incentive beyond the experience and your beaming personalities.

We thought about it. The time requirements are wrong for us, though--I believe that for internship credit, an intern needs to log a specific number of hours each week (it's at LEAST two days' worth), and we only need someone for one day a week for now. That may change in the future.

I've saved a lot of time ruling out pages by creating an Indesign or Illustrator blue line template and printing it out on bristol. Granted you need a large format printer for 11 x 17, but it's another reason to get one!

Yeah, a large format printer is in our future plans, but not our current budget. ;)

I would totally go for this, if I lived in NYC! (but if you need anything, ask away!)

I'll pass around your call for an assistant. Good luck!

How long is the position for? And is there a possibility of a paid position later? Thanks!

No specified length of time--probably starting in December, going through spring or summer? Depends on the person's availability and our workload.

I don't think this will turn into a paid position in 2011, but we haven't made specific plans beyond that.
